Is the water hot yet?

We did a repeat supper club tonight. A few years ago we had a shrimp boil. I have a 60 quart pot I filled with water. It took forever to boil. We ate all the appetizers, drank al the wine and considered ordering pizza before it got hot, We ate at about 10:00pm.

Today went better. I started the water 4 hours before dinner. We had potatoes, corn, sausage (Alex brought them from New Orleans) and shrimp. Janet made some terrific appetizers including a tuna shushimi "popsicle" where the tuna was skewered with pineapple and watermelon. bread pudding was for dessert and everyone left happy and full.

Apparently shrimp is not brain food because Charles left his wallet and Eldon left his cell phone.
