A sobering development

I have not written about this because I did not want to face it, but Kyle is seriously thinking of joining the military. He is leaning towards the Navy and wants to do special forces. I know part of the draw is the excitement, but he seems to have realistic expectations. I am not trying to imply that I am happy about the idea, but it will definately help him move on with his life. I like the idea of the Navy because I think it is one of the "safer" branches.

I think he can do anything he puts his mind to and really wants to accomplish, but special forces is tough to get into. I hope he gets his chance if that is what he chooses.

Janet is not happy, and understandably so. She is afraid for his safety and hates the idea of not seeing him or talking to him everyday. I second that.

I just hope he makes his decision and has no regrets either way.
