Heat Wave

The air conditioning went out. Again. It started like ti always does. In the middle of the afternoon it would not keep up and it ran pretty much 24/7. Janet, who is now lord of air handling, called around and got Muex (the folks who fixed the plumbing disaster) to come out. Of course they found a leak at the compressor and in the attic. As usual, they talked about what a bunch of dumb $%^& the last folks were that came out. They also pretty much implied that I was an idiot for not seeing the leak and for buying a Puron system.

Whatever.

Thy decided that they couldn't finish the job the first day and would be back in the morning. Of course we had to turn the AC off. That night was really cool and comfortable. No big deal. They came out the next morning and discovered the attic leak. It was covered under warranty. Unfortunately the part had to be ordered and it would not be in until the next afternoon. That night was a little warmer but not bad. The next day janet went out of town and it got hot. Of course the part did not come in.

Max temperature in the house that day....86 !!

It was miserable. Of course Janet was staying in a hotel or with a firend (I don't remember which) and she probably had the thermostat set at 68. Today the AC guys came with the part and got me all fixed up. It took about 4 hours and the temperature got up to 83 before they finished. At one point in the installation, they had to wait for something to draw a vacum. They waited in the van with the AC on. I tried to shame in into waiting in the house but they didn't fall for it. I hope the house is cool before Janet gets home.
