Stupid Squirrels

I now hate squirrels. I used to think they were kind of cool. Sure, they make a mess at the bird feeder and go through the seed pretty fast. But they are acrobatic and clever. For years I have been wanting the Yankee Flipper bird feeder. For the uninformed, this feeder has a motor driven perch. Birds have no problem, but the weight of the squirrels engage a switch, maing the perch spin, thereby fling the squirrel off of the deck.

Sounded like fun.

Katie bought one for Father's day, and I was stoked. The first one was broken, but I exchanged it and while it changed I was giddy with excitement in anticipation of some serious squirrel flinging.
With a full charge I hung it on the dec and set up a camera to grab the ultimate flinging squirrel photo for this blog.

I waited. And waited. And waited.

The squirrels would not go near it. Apparently they read the box and knew what was up.

I hate squirrels.
