Chef Kyle

Kyle called the other day to let me know that the culinary school was hosting a bunch of young kids from a local day care and showing them how to cook. I let the photo guys know and they sent Stephen Thornton out to cover it.

His pictures turned out great aand i made the Arkansas front so it was definitely worth the trip.

Stephen sent me the photos and it was really nice to see how Kyle interacted with the kids. His smile was big and genuine. You could tell he really loves to cook and sharing that with the kids.

I am so proud of what he is doing. Love you Kyle

Big week for the Schulz's

Margaret and Eldon celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary AND Eldon got his chair. Seriously, he actually got a chair you can sit in. Very cool.

They threw a big party at Acadia. Lots of good food and drink. There were a lot of testimonials, remembrances, and toast. They tended to get longer and longer the more folks drank. It was a hell of a party.

So Schulz's, congratulations. You guys deserve the best

Oh...I took pictures here

Costa Rica video is finished

I finally finished the Costa Rica video. I edited 12 hours of raw footage down to 40 minutes. The wildlife stuff came out pretty good. We had the party for the folks that went on the tour and everyone seemed to like it a lot. I am posting the short intro on YouTube. Let me know if ypu like it

The Wedding

Janet's college roommate, Cindy, got married this weekend. We made the trip to Fort Worth and had a good time. The wedding was pretty hip and casual. I took pictures and really am just posting this now quick and dirty to provide a link.

Cindy and Thomas, best wishes. You make a great couple.

Now, off to Costa Rica...

Showing some improvement

I have been doing a lot of video and am getting a bit better. Final Cut is very cool and the camera is awesome. Chris had a car show last weekend and I tried to do a project. I think it turned out OK. Take a look

We're at war

Someone left a little present for us. Apparently someone tried to burn our house down. Well, maybe not that bad, but it was suspicious. A bottle, broken and burned in the driveway. It had a rag stuck in it and looked like a molotive (sp?) cocktail. I called the police. They sent the fire department (sirens and everything), police and fire inspector. Pretty exciting. The fireman in charge said if this would have happened two miles east and south of our house, they would not have responded, but it was unusual in our neighborhood.

Time to review the insurance policy.

Kip Rides Again

I tried my hand at video production. Kip is in referee training and it seemed like a good sequel to the hardware store story. He did better than I did. After a dozen or so hours of editing, this is what I came up with. Enjoy
